I just spent a wonderful week in Hypatia-in-the-Woods, a solo female residency in a remote cabin in Shelton, WA. I came with no expectations except to focus on creating art for a week.  In just four days, I created six medium size paintings and nine mini paintings. My creative magic just bursted and I just could not stop painting! I found inspiration for these paintings in the surreal portraits of Eric Brenner and Sarah Jarrett, who I have been following in social media for the last year or so. I also found inspiration in the lectures given on the  Art as a Path for Inner Knowledge series by the Center for Applied Jungian Studies.
